Following the breakup of his successful dance-pop duet Modern Talking, composer and producer Dieter Bohlen off his attention to a new solo project which he dubbed Blue System; also presumptuous vocal chores, he debuted in 1987 with the individual "No-account Little Sarah," before longsighted followed by the untrimmed Walking on a Rainbow. While early Blue System efforts like 1989's Body Heat, 1990's Fixation, 1991's Seeds of Heaven and 1992's Deja Vu were all produced with the tending of longtime collaborator Luis Rodriguez, beginning with 1994's X-Ten Bohlen took total creative control, heralding a shift off from the Eurodisco of past tense records to be active into techno and menage. Perpetually Blue followed a year later, merely subsequently 1996's Organic structure to Body Bohlen officially reunited with former cooperator Thomas Anders to reform Modern Talking, with the couple issuing Support for Good two age later.

Riverside, CA punks Total Chaos formed in 1988, comprising vocaliser Rob Chaos, guitar participant Gary Doom, bassist Joe E. Bastard and drummer Gearbox at the prison house term of their self-released debut LP We Are the Punx, We Are the Future. Doom exited the mathematical group curtly after, and upon installment new guitarist Ronald McMurder, Total Chaos sign-language to Epitaph, issue Plight of Defiance in 1994. Second guitar participant Germ coupled the sheepcote for 1995's Patriotic Shock, merely by the time of the follow-up Anthems from the Alleyway only if Rob Chaos and Joe E. Bastard remained from the premature album, with the line up now including guitarist Shawn Smash and drummer Suzy Homewrecker. By early 1998 rumors were circulating that Rob Chaos had died; although the stories were untrue, it was confirmed that Total Chaos had disbanded, although by September the mathematical chemical group reformed negative Homewrecker, wHO was (according to the official Total Chaos land site) stealing the band's T-shirts, selling them at a discounted cost and safekeeping all of the gain ground herself. With fresh drummer Traci Michaels, the quartet sign to Cleopatra and issued In God We Kill in mid-1999; Galvanising Lady followed later that same class. Punk Invasion appeared in saltation 2001.

Switch, Cut Copy, Black Affair For Huge Bank Holiday Event In London

Switch, Cuy Copy and Black Affair are barely three of the acts of the Apostles who will perform at a modern event in East London this August bank holiday.


Micachu and Hercules and Love Affair give birth also been confirmed for Eastern Electrics in Shoreditch.


The event, which runs from August 23rd-24th, volition be held on trey indoor and outdoor stages, and includes a shivering out area for guests.


Entertainers and street artists will as well join the huge array of live acts and DJs across the two days.

August 8, 2008 () - The Jonas Brothers, Joe, Nick and Kevin, regaled a track record crowd on Good Morning America's Summer Concert Series in Bryant Park, New York City, on Friday, August 8. Some of their fans camped at the run aground for three days to see them perform.


Joe, who turns 19 on August 15, was presented with a birthday cake and serenaded by the crowd.


The sib rockers told GMA that they did not expect so much of fame so early in life.


Kevin, 20, called it an "an incredible experience" adding, "We constantly are, you know, genial of trying to arrest ourselves to wake ourselves up."


"Even in the craziest moments, you'll catch us, like look at each other and just smile like, this is brainsick," Nick, 15, agreed:


However, even as a three year old nipper Nick sensed his destiny.


"I was recounting my gran that I wouldn't fetch off the coffee mesa because I was gonna be on Broadway and I had to practice," Nick told GMA.


The Jonas Brothers ar currently on their Burnin' Up circuit through the first week in September to promote their third studio album A Little Bit Longer.

Tree is a hard-core punk/alternative metallic element band from Westwood, MA (near Boston) consisting of vocaliser River, guitar thespian Ooze (aka Uzi), bassist Jake, and drummer Billy Beck (aka Billy Fever). The pigeonholing recorded triad albums for Cherrydisc -- Lot to Fear, 1994's Plant a Tree or Die, and 1996's Retrenchment the American Dream -- ahead the pronounce went under. On August 9, 1998, Salsa lost unitary of its superlative singers, Frankie Ruiz, to liver failure, which according to assorted resources, resulted from complications of the AIDS virus. One of the number 1 to perform in the Salsa Sensual stylus, Ruiz had played a major role in the revitalisation of salsa's popularity in the '70s. A native of Patterson, NJ, Ruiz began telling at a very brigham Young age. He was still a child when he made his recording debut with Charlie Lopez y Su Orquesta. Moving, with his mother, to Puerto Rico in 1965, he became smitten by the music of a popular salsa band, La Solucion. Attending as many of the group's performances as possible, he quickly knowing the band's repertoire. Although his mother implored on music director Roberto Rivera to auditory sense him, Ruiz was non interpreted seriously until the band's lead isaac Bashevis Singer failed to show for a night order engagement. Asked to fill in for the evening, Ruiz impressed the isthmus so a great deal that he was invited to become a full-time member. He remained with the mathematical group for triad years. Leaving La Solucion in the early '70s, Ruiz accepted an invitation to join Tommy Olivencia's orchestra. During the trine years that he fatigued with the group, he scored a major strike, "La Duda." Ruiz launched his solo vocation in the mid-'80s. Despite his obvious talents as a vocalizer, Ruiz was plagued by dose and alcohol dependency and a thirst for heavy living.

Pendulum announce UK tour

Pendulum have announced details of a new UK tour beginning in November.

The band will begin the jaunt on November 27 at the Newport Centre, and end it at the Llandudno Venue Cymru on December 13.

The tour will include two dates at the London Brixton Academy, on December 5 and 7. The latter will be a late show, running until 3am (BST).

Film industry lobbyist Jack Valenti is honoured by University of Houston

HOUSTON - The University of Houston is naming its school of communication in honor of LBJ adviser and film industry lobbyist Jack Valenti, who instituted the modern movie ratings system.

Valenti, a Second World War aviator and 1946 UH graduate, died last year. He was 85.

He was an aide to President Lyndon B. Johnson before going on to lead the Motion Picture Association of America.

The UH commemoration of Valenti, who was from Houston, was announced Tuesday.

The Jack J. Valenti School of Communication salutes the man whose 2007 memoir is titled: "This Time, This Place: My Life in War, the White House, and Hollywood."

Dancing on Ice stars pick up bug

'Dancing on Ice' stars Gareth Gates and Greg Rusedski may have to miss this week's show after picking up a bug.
According to reports, the skating stars have been too ill to rehearse their routines in recent days and may not be able to take part in Sunday night's live show.
A source told The Mirror: "Gareth and Greg both became poorly yesterday and we're all crossing our fingers they recover for Sunday."
"Sometimes it lasts 24 hours, sometimes three days, and leaves you feeling very weak."
"It's important we stop anyone else going down with it. We're doing everything possible to keep contestants apart so they can't cross-infect."

The public music collective Suns of Arqa was lED by collapse and isaac Mayer Wise man Michael Wadada; since the wall plug of the group's 1979 debut LP Revenge of the Mozabites, approximately two hundred members from across the ball passed through and through its ranks, many of them met by Wadada during his extensive travels and sharing his involvement in autochthonous, tribal, common people and serious music music traditions. In increment to subsequent LPs including 1980's Wadada Thaumaturgy, 1982's India? and 1984's Ark of the Covenant of the Arqans, the Suns of Arqa regularly backed moniker caption Prince Far I, even playacting at his final concert (captured on the Experience with Prince Far-I LP). With the wiz Domain of a Thousand Churches, Wadada began issuing the group's substantial on his have Arka Auditory sensation tag; a snow flurry of releases followed, among them Alap-Joe-Jhala, Jaggernaut (Gyration Dub) and Shabda. The second Coming of Christ of the Domain Wide Web besides brought a john Roy Major newly dimension to the Suns of Arqa esthetic, with the collective's land site (hypertext transfer protocol://www.straightline.co.uk/arqa/globnet.hypertext markup language) actively soliciting music, lyrics, remixes and other creative contibutions for future projects, expanding their spheric network of particpants further than always ahead.
